ylosdospistoles:

We are getting out of Florida for the next several days.  If you live in or near any of the following cities, we’d love if you stopped by.  Come say hi!

  • 8/5 - The Bleu Pub, Valdosta, GA
  • 8/6 - Broadway’s, Asheville, NC
  • 8/7 - The Lunchbox, Charlotte, NC
  • 8/8 - DC9, Washington D.C.
  • 8/9 - TBA, Durham, NC (nothing like a last-minute adventure!)

These Tampa-based guys (and gal) are totally worth seeing. If you live near any of these places you should come out.

Holy crap, I can’t believe I forgot that today marks the release of Robert Pollard’s band Boston Spaceships’s new epic double-LP, Let It Beard. I am honored to have contributed cello to one of the tracks (“Red Bodies”)! Other guests include J. Mascis and Colin Newman from Wire (!!!). Get it on Amazon MP3 for $8.

Didn’t like the new M83 song at first (wtf, sax outro?) but it is really growing on me.

Come early for the crab boil, stay for the rock! I’ll be playing a solo set and then joining Bells> for their set later on.
Next Saturday the 30th… see you there!

We’re very excited to play with our friends Hammer No More The Fingers and Brice Randall Bickford (formerly The Strugglers) next Thursday at the Black Cat! Even better, this particular show will be a cello-fest, as each band features a different cellist (Hammer = Leah Gibson, and B.R.B. = Emily Wright).

Clearly this show is not to be missed! (unless you hate cellos)

Advance tickets can be purchased here: http://www.ticketalternative.com/Events/14483.aspx

I can’t wait for next week’s show. Cellofest 2K11!!!
