Silence is a sin

Considering we have an entire song devoted to the awful effects of the Internet and technology on humans, I am acutely aware of the incongruity of setting up another online home for OFP. We would love for people to become aware of us without any online presence at all, but that’s hardly realistic in 2010.  So far, every online OFP venture has had an almost-deliberate air of half-assedry about it - we lost the login to our first site (MySpace) and never bothered to retrieve it; I registered officeoffutureplans.com months ago, and only today discovered that the order never finished processing. But I hope that, unlike the sterile, monolithic wasteland of Facebook Pages, or the distracted sugar-high of Twitter, this space can retain a bit of character in the months and years to come. We’ll try to post fun things here as often as possible.  We look forward to your “reblogs” and “likes”.  I might even be able to convince someone other than myself to post their thoughts and musings in a web-log format.  Because ultimately, we still want you to hear about us and share our excitement about making music.  We want you to like us.  At least, I’m pretty sure we do.

Woo! Yay Gordon! We go way back - he used to be in Betwixt, a band on my label. AWESOME.

Thanks Rick!  Those some great times.
