I guess I could provide an explanation here, invoking the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, appealing to notions of liberty, property rights, freedom of association… but that would just be a waste of time. The opposition to Park51 will not listen to reason— it is based on an irrational hatred of Muslims and Arabs (one and the same in the eyes of many of these idiots). It goes against the very foundations of American democracy and should be denounced by all Americans, regardless of their religious and political beliefs.
