Very happy at the positive reception to our first single. Can’t wait for the record to come out!
Pre-ordering just opened for COMPassion, a Japan benefit comp we’re on. Please click the image to pre-order.
We’re covering the song “Myself Broke Into Pieces”, by the great Japanese band Naht.
I’ll also be contributing a better mix of the Juno cello cover I did recently to this compilation. Very excited. Please pre-order!
Thanks to you, we raised $238 ($138 + our $100 matching pledge) for ShelterBox.org’s relief work in Japan!
Many thanks to all who contributed! If you still want to help out, you can donate directly on the ShelterBox site (or with any of the other many reputable charities doing good work).
We may also appear on a Japan benefit-compilation… stay tuned for updates.
Thanks everyone.
Like most of you, we’ve been shocked and devastated at the disasters Japan is experiencing. Like most bands, we don’t have a lot of extra money lying around to help, but we’re going to try to do our part.
So, for the next 24 hours, all sales of our digital 7” will be donated to the disaster-relief organization ShelterBox.org. Plus, we’ll match up to $100 in sales from our own funds. Please be generous (you can pay anything you want, minimum $2) and pass this on.

My band is trying to do as much as we can to help. Please pass this on.

So, we played with The Dismemberment Plan on Sunday night at the 930 Club. It was an amazing experience. The (sold-out) crowd was enormous and appreciative, the sound was amazing, and the club’s hospitality was great. Who knows if we’ll ever be lucky enough to play there again, but we’d jump at the opportunity.
Also, The Dismemberment Plan are an amazing band. We hope they decide to make this reunion permanent.
I am still reeling from this show. It’s probably the best one I’ve played in my entire life.
We take over The Vinyl District this week, with a post each day. In today’s post, we talk about Kickstarter, and how we live in a golden age of fan-funded vinyl projects. And for the first time, anyone can listen to “Harden Your Heart”, the A side of our new 7”! Click through for more…
This is, like, the 80th time I’ve written about how awesome Kickstarter is. It never gets old.
If you’re curious as to why we chose Kickstarter as a funding platform, or why we did a Stranglers cover for the B-side of our new 7”, click through to this City Paper DC interview.
I’m interviewed about Kickstarter here.
We’re really excited for tonight’s show. Windup Space, Baltimore, 9pm!
My band is in Brooklyn Vegan today! Wooooooooo!!!
